This “mythical mount” is a beautiful (evening) landscape with a lush and beautiful vegetation of flowers, trees and mountains that together show a breath-taking landscape. The use of silk materials and the ochre colour give a warm and lively tone to the whole.
With the wall art tapestry, we want to show that we should cherish nature and biodiversity and treat them with care. Especially if we want to preserve the beauty of nature. We also draw attention to the conservation of biodiversity.
The materials used are completely biodegradable. The silk satin, tulle and dupion fabrics and yarns are high quality residual materials and dyed in vegetable paint, in this case with onion peels, in our atelier in the Netherlands. The basic of this special tapestry is made of hand-spun, hand-woven and hand-dyed Cotton Indigo fabric from a workshop in Mali.
